Round 1 of the OMR 2008 Formula Nippon's Championship was held at the Albert Park circuit Melbourne in Victoria.
Qualifying in pole position, Freddo looked almost certain to take out the race with superior pace on the track. Would he prevail ?

ALBERT PARK MELBOURNE
The first race of the Formula Nippon's Championship was held at the Albert Park Melbourne circuit. Congratulations to Meclazine on a hard fought win in front of the fast-finishing Freddo.
Although the second place getter had the pace during most of the race, it was the more efficient use of tyres and fuel which setup the win for our budding young race winner.
Wrinkles finished in 3rd position.
